Best Leg Exercises to Lose Fat
When focusing on losing fat you need to do full body workouts no matter if you are male or female. Leg exercises cannot be overlooked if you are serious about losing weight anywhere in your body.
Spot Reduction
There is no such thing as spot reduction or at least that’s what nutrition books say. The truth is that if you do crunches you will not lose belly fat all of a sudden. But spot training will improve the way that certain areas of your body will look if you lose the fat that is on top of said areas. Most people think that specific exercises will get rid of the fat in those areas and that is where they are wrong.
But when you lift weights you will increase your metabolism and start to see an increase in weight loss from your whole body. The legs are very large muscles and will greatly affect your metabolism.
Lunges are a great leg workout that will hit the hamstrings and butt. You will get sore from doing lunges and for this reason I recommend that you only do a few the first time. There is no added benefit of making yourself so sore you can’t walk. The first time you lift you don’t need to kill yourself by overdoing it. Now that I have said that, you do not want to lift too lightly the 3rd week into a workout program.
Once you have gotten used to working out for a couple weeks it’s time to kick it in to high gear and go all out with super intense workouts. Your body will be ready and you will get sore but you will have built up a little strength so that the soreness will not harm you.
Leg workouts are great because your legs can withstand a lot work and improve greatly in strength.
